Investment Management

invest

Investments in the assembly world bear a big risk for the investor - even more if the investment is high. The business relation between buyer and vendor will consist maybe over years. So you need to be sure with you vendor when you invest. We offer you our consulting to choose the right vendor for your investment in fastening technology and show you the frame conditions and risk assessments you should do to meet your productivity and investment goals not only today but also in the future.

Investment and Risk

In your assembly planning you can increase your output in specializing your assembly line with special assembly tools, devices, and automated machines. On the other side you risk to loose your flexibility in your production (see chart bellow):

As the chart shows there is a connection between output and investment. Secondly, the higher your invest the higher your specificity. This can easily be described with an example: let's imagine a assembly job with a regular bolt pattern of 4 joints. You can choose a adjustable torque wrench to tighten (high flexibility, low invest, low output), use a handheld power tool (medium flexibility, invest, and output) or invest in a multiple spindle device with 2 - 4 fixtured spindle (low flexibility, high invest, high output).

Specificity and Risk

There is not only more cost and lower flexibility with a very specific machine - the risk is also climbing. Why?

The more specific an assembly solution the more you are bound to the vendor of this special machine. Normally, it takes a big load of work and money to change the vendor with a similar solution. That relates you to a vendor for a long time - at least until the machine has been amortized. This risk can only be covered with a proper risk management.

We help you to evaluate and asses all risks in your assembly investment project and can assure you the objectivity you need as we are not depended to any vendor. Even our own special solutions stay in the background if you wish us to do so.
